McLean, Va— June, 23 2011 – The Medical Care for Children Partnership Foundation has been named a beneficiary of the third annual Acumen Solutions Race for a Cause™ 8K and 1-Mile Fun Run to be held on Sunday, October 16, 2011 in Arlington, VA. Acumen Solutions, an international leader in business and technology consulting, holds this race annually to raise money for community non-profit organizations. In addition to the 8K, the 1 mile format gives families and young runners a chance to participate while giving back to the community. Two-thousand dollars in combined prizes will be awarded to top age group winners. The race will be on a fast out-and-back, flat course that begins and ends on North Quincy Street - near the intersection of Wilson Boulevard in Arlington, VA. The event is produced in partnership with Potomac River Running and runners of all levels, as well as walkers, are encouraged to participate.
