2011 marks 25 years of service to Fairfax County by the Medical Care for Children Partnership (MCCP).
2011 marks 25 years of service to Fairfax County by the Medical Care for Children Partnership (MCCP). MCCP was started in 1986 as a public/private partnership to fund health care for the children of low-income, uninsured working families in Fairfax County. In 2009, MCCP Foundation was incorporated as a separate non-profit organization to realize that mission.
MCCP is composed of three partners: Fairfax County, which provides outreach to find the needy children and casework to assure the children receive the needed medical care; Kaiser Permanente and over 300 private doctors and dentists who are part of our network; and our corporate, foundation, and individual supporters.
Despite being one of the wealthiest counties in the nation, there are still many thousands of children in our community who don't have access to doctors and dentists when they need them. Since 1986, over 85,000 children have been served through MCCP and the generosity of our neighbors. Thank you!
