I thought it was only swimming. I am generally a rather bold character, but walking into the ocean or getting into a swimming pool transforms me. I cautiously put my toes in, and then my feet, and then I retreat until my courage rebuilds. Again, back at the edge, I walk right in…to my ankles…and then back up, and so on, retreat and advance until an enormous amount of time passes, and all friends have long since given up on me as they move on to enjoy themselves tremendously.
And so it seems I am with Facebook and blogging. Friends ask me to do it. Real friends, I mean. The old fashioned kind. But they seem to have transformed themselves into the new-type friend as they ask me to friend them. Why do I have to friend a friend who is already a friend?
But eventually I do get into the water. I am the rotten egg, to be sure. But what about last but not least? Couldn’t I be that, instead of a smelly, barren home to a non-existent bird?
Ok, so here I am. Anything for MCCP Foundation! This rotten egg is hoping to be “last but not least”. I am, after all, very competitive. And so…please watch this space for a new superlative BLOG to begin!
